Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) has appointed Abraham Serem the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to replace Ms Rebecca Miano who has been appointed by President William Ruto as the Cabinet Secretary for East African Community.
The decision by the firm’s board of directors was communicated by Chairman General Samson Mwathethe and took effect from October 28, 2022.
Mr Serem who has been the Human Resource and Administration’ General Manager for the last six years and seven months will hold the post until a substantive Managing Director is recruited.
The acting boss had before joining the government agency, worked at East Africa Breweries Ltd and Heineken East Africa Ltd (as a Director) among other companies.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Nairobi and a higher diploma in human resource management.
