Four men accused of killing and lynching three women suspected to have bewitched a student in Kisii will continue being held by police to allow completion of investigations.

The women are said to have been smoked out of their houses in Marani Sub-County and set on fire.

Kisii Law Courts Senior Magistrate Paul Mutai on Tuesday allowed police to detain Peter Angweny, Amos Nyakundi, Ronald Ombati and Chrispine Ogeto for 10 days.

The four were arrested on Monday a day after committing the offence.

They will be detained at Rioma Police Station with mentioning of the case set for October 29.
