Nearly three weeks after singer Kevin Mbuvi Kioko popularly known as Bahati cried in public for having been told by Jubilee Party to step down as its candidate for Mathare MP seat, the musician-cum-politician has been awarded with the ticket.

He had then claimed that the President Uhuru Kenyatta’s party had plans to support ODM candidate Anthony Oluoch and cried foul of unfairness in the nomination process.

“…Please give the youth of this country a chance. I know there is zoning and Mathare has been zoned as an ODM area, but for this one time give the youth of this country a chance,” he then lamented.

But Friday, in an event presided over by several Jubilee Party officials, Bahati was issued with the certificate breaking into smiles.
