Police in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a youthful freelance journalist whose body was found lying on his bed.

Julius Tarus, 32, who previously worked with Kass Media was last seen on Monday while entering his house in Rock Two area on the outskirts of Eldoret town.

The father of two spent last weekend at his family’s home in Kabenes, where he remained jovial, before leaving for Eldoret the following day.

Before the discovery of his body, the journalist was unreachable on phone raising concerns over his whereabouts.

Moiben Sub-County Police Commander Stephen Okal said the cause of the death was being investigated.

The body was moved to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary.
