The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has threatened to disconnect power in all Embu public health facilities tomorrow (Thursday) if Governor Martin Wambora adminstration will not have paid Sh15 million accrued bills.

In a letter dated January 10, 2022, the power company revealed that the county government had not settled power bills for hospitals totaling to Sh15, 301, 963.

Netizens have since taken to social media to castigate the devolved government terming it a shame.

“Embu MCAs used Sh20 million in Tanzania where they had gone to learn good manners but the government cannot pay Sh15 million to KPLC,” John Nyaga shared on Facebook.
