Police in Kirinyaga are holding a man who allegedly chopped off his wife’s hands before killing her and later torched her body following a domestic quarrel.

The 37-year-old Charity Wangui is said to have been in a disagreement with the husband that resulted to the death.

The suspect would later pick a panga and slash the wife before torching her inside their timber house.

The suspect is being detained at Kianyaga Police Station awaiting completion of the ongoing investigations.

The incident comes barely two weeks after a woman reportedly killed her husband, an assistant chief in the same area following a domestic tiff.

According to Kianyaga East Police boss Anthony Wanjuu, the couple reportedly argued over money paid for coffee before the quarrel turned fatal.
