Police in Tharaka constituency are hunting down a man who stabbed his brother with an arrow after he allegedly refused to loan him Sh5, 000.
The injured man, Christopher Muthomi is fighting for his life at Marimanti Level Four Hospital following the Friday evening incident at Ibondeni village.
Reports indicate that the suspect James Murimi had before shooting the brother with an arrow attempted to stab him with a knife.
The victim was rushed to the hospital on a motorbike with the arrow lodged in his thigh.
It remains unclear whether the dispute was solely because of the loan or there could be an underlying issue.
“Investigations will help establish the cause of the dispute while search for the suspect continues,” an officer not authorized to speak to media told The Press Point.
