The Chuka University 98.8 FM today marked the second anniversary since its inception.
The radio station, which prides itself in creativity, seeks to establish itself as a reliable outlet for informing listeners of the local and international happenings and nurturing talent among University students.
The FM station, which covers Tharaka Nithi, Meru, Embu, Samburu, Kitui and Kirinyaga areas, celebrated its listeners for continued support.
In recent past and in bid to control the Kenyan airwaves, various radio stations have been coming up and radio continue to be assumably the highly adaptable technology and most accessible medium of our time.
Among the Radio’s most listened shows are Country Sounds, Africa Mashup, Mzuka Sato and Hangout.
Wednesday’s Fani ya kilimo from 10 am to 1pm that educates farmers on the modern farming methods and Thursday’s Kazi Mseto where health professionals educate the masses about various diseases and how to treat and prevent them are also widely listened to.
