Days after his ouster from the Senate Deputy Speaker’s position, Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki has turned down a new appointment to serve in one of the House committees.

The irate legislator who was ejected for allegedly being disloyal to Jubilee Party and disrespecting President Uhuru Kenyatta rejected the offer to serve in the Senate Justice committee.

The leader, who has been an ardent supporter of Deputy President William Ruto, said he wants to now focus on serving his electorates.

“I respectfuly decline the offer and I want to concentrate on serving people of Kenya as Tharaka Nithi Senator,” Prof Kindiki said in a press release.

The legislator earlier warned political propagandists against drawing a wedge between him and President Uhuru Kenyatta over his ouster.

He said some unknown malicious individuals had opened Facebook and Twitter accounts under his name and are using them to post nasty statements meant to create animosity between him and the Head of State.

He said he shut his Facebook and Twitter accounts two years ago and no longer had any social media account.

“Some malicious people with ill motive have been positing malicious statements aimed at creating a rift between President Kenyatta and I over my recent ouster,” he wrote.

The second term Senator who is believed to be eyeing for governorship in 2022 reiterated his loyalty to Jubilee Party and President Kenyatta and urged his supporters and Kenyans, in general, to concentrate on matters that are of more importance to the country.

He urged President to consider compensating Tharaka Nithi people for his removal by appointing another resident to a senior position during his rumored soon reorganization of Kenyatta’s government.

He also asked him to ensure completion of development projects such as, roads, water and several others that his government started in the Ameru region since he came into office in 2013 but have since stalled.

Prof Kindiki lauded the Ameru Njuri Ncheke Council of Elders, the Tharaka Council of Elders, political leaders all Kenyans who stood with him during his atrocious moment.
