National Assembly Speaker and Presidentia aspirant Justin Muturi has revelead why he did not attend the Amani National Congress Party National Delegates Conference meeting at Bomas of Kenya where the party unveiled Mr Musalia Mudavadi as its Presidential flagbrearer.

Like Kalonzo Musyoka and Gideon Moi of Wiper and KANU Parties who walked out of the event on seeing Deputy President William Ruto’s allied MPs arriving at the venue, the Speaker said Mr Mudavadi should have informed those he invited that Dr Ruto would be present.

“I did not attend the ANC NDC as we were surprised that Dr Ruto would attend and Mr Mudavadi did not have the courtesy to inform us,” Mr Muturi said.

Cautious and suspicious of what would be declared at the event, Mr Muturi opted not to attend.

“…We have seen the formation of another coalition with Dr Ruto which we have never discussed before,” he shared on Twitter.

Only Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula remained at the event that Cyrus Jirongo gave a wide berth.

During the event, Mr Mudavadi announced a partnership with DP Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance and launched scathing attack on President Uhuru Kenyatta for what he termed as over borrowing, rampant corruption and underperformance of his administration.
