Some Taita Taveta County government officials want legal action taken against a blogger for linking them to corruption.
Mr Mathew Njoroge, Edward Mwakisima, Wilfred Mwalimo, Bigvai Mwailemi and Mathias Madeda also want the Communication Authority to pull down Mr Mwashere Shuma’s website Kwaela News Network.
This comes few days after Mombasa Principal Magistrate Charles Ndegwa issued temporary orders barring the blogger from publishing defamatory statements against the five.
The court also ordered Mr Shuma to pull down all defamatory articles from his online platforms and website.
Mr Ndegwa, while issuing the orders on November 2, also asked the Inspector General of Police to coordinate with the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) and repatriate the website owner to take charges in Kenya.
The case will continue on November 16.
